MEMORIAL DAY EXPERIENCE

I received this from another veteran So I am passing this along!

Fellow Vets.

My Memorial Day experience was very nice. A gathering of about 400. Good music, good speech, and other good remarks. HOWEVER, when I looked around at our veterans, I was quite disappointed. Well over half of them were quite "SLOVEN" in their appearance. Jeans and T-shirts, cut-offs, dirty looking and unshaven…gross. Definitely, not a good example for the youth of our country. Some on motorcycles looked good. A few others looked like they represented some gang.

Gents, I hope you can see the picture that I am trying to paint here. As vets of this country we have got to get a handle on this problem. We have got to do better. Remember what was taught at NCO school, or at the academy. Appearance goes a long way. Everyone needs to step-up to the plate and get involved.

I believe that this is very important. Please pass these thoughts along to all vets on your list.

Semper Fi, Charlie
